Current Class: Level 1 on1 Salsa, Wednesday 9:45-10:45, CRC Studio A

About me: Having never danced a step in my life, I took my first salsa class in early 2006 with Mathew Livianu, the founder of GT Salsa. My initial goals were just to learn a few steps so that I could go out, have fun, and meet new people. Little did I know that salsa and dance would take over my life! I got hooked on dance because it combines two of my greatest passions: fitness and music. I've played musical intstruments most of my life (trombone and now bass guitar), but I've found dance to be my favorite creative outlet. While other dance styles all have thier unique appeal, I love salsa because of all the style and personality involved: salsa is really a melting pot of all different kinds of dance styles...some people dance it like hip hop, some like ballet and jazz, and it all appeals to me. When I am not dancing salsa, I do Information Technology work. I am starting up an IT company and I'd eventually like to run a dance company as well.
